What is Broadband?
Broadband is a high speed telecommunications service that is always available. Typically it is used to access the internet but it has many other uses. However, broadband doesn’t need to be used in a sophisticated way to bring significant benefits to businesses. Just by being connected to broadband, you will enjoy four key benefits:
Saves Time and Improves Efficiency:
Broadband saves time and effort. Broadband provides a much faster connection than standard dial-up access to the Internet using your phone line. It also gives you a permanent Internet connection, and it allows the phone to be used at the same time as a computer is connected to the Internet.
Saves Money:
Broadband can be bought on monthly fixed charge which is predictable regardless of the amount of use (Some lower cost products do incur a charge if you use it more than a capped amount) or it can in some cases be bought on a pay-per-use basis (similar to that of dial-up). There is also no need for a second telephone line since broadband shares the telephone line.
Improves Image:
Being able to process emails more quickly and send large computer files and documents improves the service you provide and the image you portray.
Empowers Employees:
Employees are able to process work more effectively, with reduced time waiting for data to come and go thus freeing their time for more productive work.
