Crystal is a ladies clothes boutique in the heart of Armagh City. Buyer Roisin Derry met with Logon.ni during our week long mobile demonstration event in Armagh City Centre at the beginning of April 2011. Roisin was looking for cost effective ways of marketing her business. The Logon.ni adviser suggested various online marketing techniques including using social networking pages as a channel to promote the business and engage with customers. Social networking sites allow businesses to have a free online presence with immediate access to thousands of potential customers. Accounts are easy to create, simple to update and allow for interaction and feedback from followers.
Roisin was shown lots of examples of how similar businesses were making use of these social media services. The adviser guided Roisin through the process involved in creating a personal social networking account, explaining the various elements required to complete this and then instructed her on how to register and set up a business social networking page. Following this the Logon.ni adviser demonstrated how to add content to the page by uploading a company logo and photographs and guided Roisin through the process of adding relevant information about their business which they wanted to highlight to users of the service.
Following the free demonstration provided by Logon.ni Roisin successfully launched her social networking page. After only one month the page has over 200 followers and Roisin regularly uploads photographs of new stock and replies to enquiries from her followers.
