Derek of DJ Lynn Driving School in Lurgan County Armagh met with a Logon.ni adviser as he wanted to promote his business using the internet to gain better visibility online and get more enquiries and new pupils via the web.
The Logon.ni adviser suggested a number of free online marketing solutions including online business directories and social media pages but began by educating Derek on the benefits of creating an online map listing. Derek was initially assisted to create his free account to enable him to set up an online map listing. With the account activated, Derek then received instruction on how to build his online map listing, including adding contact details, writing up a comprehensive description of the business to attract potential customers and enhancing the online map listing by uploading photos. The adviser then demonstrated that a company logo and videos could be added if Derek so wished. After images had been uploaded the adviser guided Derek through the relevant category selections to ensure his listing related to his service.
Derek was also advised on posting updates to his online map listing to keep his customers updated and the ‘Offers’ feature was explained to Derek so that he has the opportunity to offer coupons for discounts to entice new customers. Finally the Logon.ni adviser ensured that Derek understood how to return to the online map website and log into the account for future updates/activities. The Analytics feature of Derek’s account was also explained to him as a tool to enable him to view statistics relating to the number of visits etc his map listing generated allowing him to monitor the effectiveness of his map listing.
