Drenagh is a Georgian country Estate near Limavady. It has broadband with BT and has a local area network set up to share files within the offices in the Estate.
A Logon.ni advisor met with Susan Kearney and Connolly McCausland. Susan wanted to know more about keywords and Search Engine Optimisation (SEO) for their website in order to increase traffic of appropriate potential customers to the website. Connolly wanted advice on the layout and design of the website to maximise client interaction on the website.
Our Logon.ni advisor instructed Susan on SEO including information on the meta tags in the background coding of the website. Advice was given on adapting the Title, Keyword and Description meta tags to allow search engines to accurately index the website for search phrases from potential customers. Further SEO advice was given on use of affiliate and referral marketing of the website. i.e. getting as many links as possible to the Drenagh website from neighbouring businesses, tourism websites and online business directories. Susan was advised that keeping the website content regularly updated with news and new information would also help their websites ranking on the search engines.
Logon.ni also advised Connolly and Susan on their website layout, comparing the current layout to the proposed new layout and looking at other business websites for ideas. Logon.ni advised that getting visitors to enter information to the site was important e.g. Signing up for a newsletter by email or sending an enquiry.
Logon.ni then supplied Susan with information on Google Analytics as a free tool to measure the effectiveness of the website. Logon.ni demonstrated the various statistics available including number of visitors, average time spent on the site, global location of site visitors and bounce rate (visitors who leave the site after the first page).
Susan and Connolly of Drenagh Estate now have the knowledge they need to attract visitors to their website where they can analyse those visits and maximise enquiries and contact from customers.
