Glenariff Tea House & Craft Shop is situated in an area of outstanding natural beauty on Antrim’s North East Coast in Glenariff Forest Park. Due to the seasonal nature of this business sector, the owner Kathleen Murray needed to promote her goods and services to a wide variety of markets.
Kathleen has a website but she currently has no access to the content, leaving her unable to change prices, images and general information. Also Kathleen felt that the current web content did not portray the image she was seeking to promote. Logon.ni suggested that a new website was one possible way forward and offered Kathleen various website solutions from which to choose.
After considering all options available to her, Kathleen opted for a self build website package. Logon.ni gave Kathleen a sample of self build sites that are readily available which are easy to both edit and update and Kathleen chose the solution which best suited her requirements.
Logon.ni demonstrated to Kathleen how to build the site, how to upload her information, photographs, videos, slide shows, and general information relating to the area. Kathleen was then advised on the importance of placing keywords, key phrases and meta tags into her new site. These phrases and words enable potential customers to find her site and the goods and services she offers via popular internet search engines. Lastly Kathleen was taught how to use the built in reporting tools for the site. These tools allow Kathleen to monitor exactly who visits her site, which areas these customers are coming from, which pages they view and keeps a track of traffic to her site 365 days a year.
“Logon.ni contacted me with regard to setting up my webpage; the adviser gave me excellent help with information which was required for the site. My site is now live so it is a matter of just waiting to see what impact it will have to the business.” Kathleen Murray, Proprietor Glenariff Tea House & Gift Shop.
