Logon.ni Website Workshop

The first workshop of 2010 was held at the logon.ni demonstration suite in Omagh early in January. The session was attended by seven delegates who were given a demonstration on how to construct a self built website for their business.

An initial presentation by members of the logon.ni team advised the delegates of the first steps in building their website. This included registering their company with the software provider, how to choose a template, how to customise and modify the template, adding text and images and editing the content. The companies were then able to benefit from one to one assistance from the logon.ni advisers during a practical session. Delegates received help in the construction and design of their websites and were given instruction in how to customise the website to represent the image of their company.

A final presentation informed the attendees how to choose and register a domain name for their website prior to the website going live on the internet. By the end of the two hour session, all businesses who attended had made significant progress towards having a web presence, but more importantly had the knowledge and information to complete and publish their very own website.  

The events are free for all small and medium sized businesses in Northern Ireland to attend. No prior knowledge of website building of specialist skills are required as demonstrations are given by the logon.ni team. All that is required is the desire for your company to have a website, and a commitment to spend a couple of hours learning how to create your own web presence.
