Omagh Equestrian is a family run business in Omagh, County Tyrone. The business has been established for over 10 years and the shop sells a wide range of saddles, tack, clothing, horse jumps and horse bits.
Omagh Equestrian owner Ann wanted an additional outlet to sell stock. The Logon.ni advisor and Ann discussed the benefits of selling items via on-line auctions. Being one of the best known and biggest on-line auctions an eBay shop was chosen. The adviser explained what this entailed, discussed costs and Ann decided to go ahead.
The Logon.NI adviser guided Ann through the registration process to establish her eBay shop and helped Ann set up a PayPal account to receive payment for her sales. Once the eBay shop was set up, the advisor demonstrated to Ann how to customise and design the look of the shop, add a business logo to the header and create an eBay profile so that customers can find out more about the business. Ann then received instruction on how to list items on the eBay shop using eBay’s “buy it now” feature, add photos onto listings and decide on payment and postage details. Ann was also shown how to use the more advanced features such as 'selling manager' to upload multiple listings at one time, and turbolister to enable her to track her sales.
Ann is delighted with her eBay shop, and in the first two months has made over 40 sales with 100% positive feedback.
