Webste and Search Engine Optimisation seminars
Logon.ni advisors regularly travel around Northern Ireland delivering seminars and workshops covering a variety of topics. One of the most popular subjects deals with Business Websites and Search Engine Optimisation.
The objective of the sessions is to provide businesses with the options open to them when they decide to build a website, and encourage businesses to understand why they want a website and what they want it to achieve for their company.
Discussion first of all centres on a number of issues to be considered before the website is built. It is extremely important for businesses to invest time to decide on a number of factors before having a website built. For example, how many pages does the website need to have, is a shopping cart function required, what will be the layout and design of the website? The list goes on… However, determining factors such as these will ultimately help the web builder produce the website to match the business requirements, and usually keep costs down.
The session then covers whether a business needs to employ a website builder/designer, or look to build a website themselves using one of the self-build packages available on the internet. The pros and cons of both of these options are discussed. Guidance is given to what a business should expect from a web designer, and what questions the business should be asking the website builder. If a self build package is to be used, businesses are shown examples of what can be achieved.
Once the website has been built, customers need to be able to access it on the internet. The Search Engine Optimisation section of the session covers a number of issues such as the importance of having keywords and phrases, links to other websites and highlights the importance of regularly updating the website. These factors are vitally important to enable the website to appear high up in search engine rankings.

Very helpful info. It was great to be informed of how to best use a website. This was among the most helpful workshops held by Ballymena Enterprise Agency. - Petal Perfect Designs
The next workshop Logon.ni has planned on this subject will take place on Thursday 13th May at Cookstown Enterprise Centre, starting at 2:00pm. If this is not convenient, Logon.ni advisers are available to visit your business to discuss this topic at a time that suits you.
